The peas are 6' tall and poding up, the spuds are blossoming and waist high, the beans have huge leaves and stalks and starting to blossom. The mators havent climbed much, but have very beefy stalks. I emptied my compost bin and topdressed and fertilized most of the boxes. We have volinteere maters everywhere. We pulled a lot, but left some in the asparagus boxes, to see what happens. We harvested lots of asperagus this year. Whe wifey has frozen several meals of swiss chard, dehydrated a lot of dill, parsley, and chives.
The flower gardens seem to be about two weeks ahead of time. Butterfly bushes flowering, lillies blooming early, and others have passed ahead of time.

Loren, that stuff looks amazing! I have never seen peas that tall. The township I take care of has a bunch of fields of organic peas for Gerber baby food, and I have never seen them anywhere near that tall. Knee high maybe...
That stuff ought to help keep you pretty healthy

Beauitful pictures of your garden everything looks lush and green. Its been so hot and dry here my garden all but burn up. Out of just the sqaush plants, started with 89 i dont have 15 or so that survived.
 
That is the most convincing arguement for raised bed gardening that I have ever seen! One of my daughters tried that a few years ago and was reasonably successful. It proves that in most places, the topsoil isn't nearly deep enough to support a healthy root system.
 
It's a good thing, that I am NOT your neighbor, I would be in trouble with you, for being caught at your pea patch, grazing on fresh peas, hull and all! Toooo tempting!
 
We are hilling taters now. They look pretty good so far. Most of mine seems to be doing well. he weeds seem to be growing well, too..................................
