Any Original Tractors Left

Hi guys , just wondering how many original North American tractor manufactures are still out there , let's say from the 1950's forward .

I can only think of J.D. Case , Int. Massey Fergasson ,

The question was "North American manufacturers". Not where certain models are made.

The only one left standing from 50 years ago is JD. Case/CaseIH as someone pointed out is owned by FIAT along with Ford/New Holland. AC closed up and eventually became AGCO who IIRC now owns MF. They also bought out White which swallowed up Oliver and MM years before.

When it comes down to "ownership" being the determining factor as to whether a company still exists, I think we are getting off track. All of these companies started as small businesses owned, either outright or thru stock, by a limited number of individuals. When they became larger and went public, no one wanted to say that the original company and it's mission no longer existed. These same companies exist today either as subsidiaries of parent corporations or as public companies owned by shareholders. As long as you can enter a dealership and buy a brand, it is still in existence. Ownership has nothing to do with it. I own a bunch of Deere stock...doesn't mean they are now "Dave" tractors.

For those extremely few people that wonder why a guy with IH tractors owns a block of Deere stock the answer is simple. I saw all those little green and yellow lawn tractors and the way the yuppies coveted them and saw $$$. Yeah, I know...I'm a sellout. :)
