Drone photos

The son in law had his drone here yesterday and had the Go Pro on it. He took a bunch of stills and a video. He downloaded a few of the photos in to my computer. One of those things would be quite handy for checking cattle and crops if is was flying a little lower.
He crashed the darned thing though and tore it up pretty much beyond recognition. About all he saved was the camera. He was pretty sick about that, said it was about a $250 loss.

We kind of wondered if it clipped a power line. It landed right under it,but he was taking a photo every two seconds and it seemed to be upside down and sideways for two or three pics before it hit the ground. He said it was getting squirrely and he was trying to bring it down before it crashed.

Cooler than all get out!
Assume the drone can't start your 77 - Can it?
Put a $40 battery switch on my Super 88 because I had a short somewhere - Hasn't run away from home since!
Yer phreind,

Naw,the darned things was pretty much worthless for anything but taking pictures. I still had to work on the FWA on the 1365 the old fashioned way today. The wife's washing my pants for the second time right now trying to get all that grease out. lol

I've been wanting a drone for a little while now, but the wife would put me on the block if I did. It looks like it has pretty good range on it.

Seems like they could fit them with an emergency parachute that could deploy if necessary, but I suppose that would cut down on the number of new drones people would have to buy and would be bad for business.

He had it up in the air. Looks like it took some nice clear pictures. Last year out at the races in Knoxville Iowa, there were two guys taking photos of the cars on the track. That was interesting to me. They even had lights on them when they were flying them after dark.

Kind of high...and I don't like heights that well lol. Even made me a little queasy. Nice pictures.

I should have run my pickup out of the garage. The wife took it up a gravel road the other day in the rain. Needs a wash job now.

Very neat place. Need to paint GREEN ACRES on the roof and do a fly by. My FIL built an RC plane and named it 'I Fall To Pieces'. That's just what happened to it.

(quoted from post at 04:23:59 06/23/15) Battery powered with four electric motors.

What happens if a larger bird such as a crow or hawk was to buzz it. They seem to like attacking things in their airspace. Could that actually cause one to crash like his did? :?

es it can. I've had a couple birds chase mine but haven't had a crash from any attacks yet.
