L 4350 Kubota clutch

I have a L 4350 4x4 Kubota tractor. It has the manual shift with high low and the you have one lever for forward reverse. I just bought it tested it good I thought . Now the clutch just hits the floor bottoming out it just stays there and will not stop tractor at all. I tried to adjust but there is no difference. There is a spring that is suppose to pull the pedal back up but it does not. When I unhook the linkage that goes to the clutch I can move the lever that is suppose to work the clutch and it moves free like it is not doing anything. What do y'all think happened? Will I need to split it?

Look and see if there is a removable inspection cover that would allow you to see the clutch linkage working. Your lever may just have had a pin fall out of it to where it is not working the internal clutch linkage. Many tractors do not have an external return spring they depend on the internal spring to return the clutch pedal up.

There is no inspection plate unless it's covered by the loader. There is not a place for a pin on the outside . I may have to split it. Any advice to splitting it. It has a quick attach Bushog loader on it would it be easy if I removed it to do the split. To where it is mounted I don't think it would be in the way. Is it easier to roll the front or the back apart?

I usually roll the back away. You can block the front axle from rocking and then use one jack under the motor. Then the back half you can use a floor jack under the transmission to hold it up. The larger rear tires are easier to roll away from the front half.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news... One of two things most common is the thro out bearing has went thru the clutch fingers OR the other thing is the key that holds the clutch fork there on the operating rod has stripped. Either way you have to split the tractor.

Thanks for your reply. When I get it split in the next few weeks I hope I know I will have lots of questions.
