Serial number questions

I'm a little confused on the serial number for my Case VAC 14. It's 6003081 and with the research I've done I've always referred to it as a 1954. I see one listed in the registry with serial number slightly higher than mine and that is listed as a 1953.
 
Here is what my Iron guide shows

5750001 1953
6011001 1954
6038001 1955

I usually trust the serial number charts in this over many on the internet. So your 6003081 is a very late 1953 model. It could easily have been sold in 1954 but was manufactured in 1953.

Thanks guys. It makes sense. I just have to get it in my head to change it. I even have it in some passwords as '54. I'm either the 2nd or 3rd owner. The old farmer I worked for long ago bought it. I bought it from him 25 years ago. I've been driving it since i was 12. Currently doing a little restoration on it. Needed a head job, rocker arm, carb kit, etc. Purrs like a kitten now.
 
I guess I should also change it in this sites registry. I put it in years ago as a 1954. I tried to edit but I'm thinking that would have to go through the site administrator.
