We used to judge the height of a good corn crop. my first planting of sweetcorn is over waist high and has a tassle in the boot....4 weeks or less and we will be picking! Weird year...picked green beans today also.

Here in Ohio some is at least that high or more. Other fields not so much. And now with the rains some are knee high in water !!!

Ears have silked and are filling out on my sweet corn in SC. We need rain, I'm watering the garden.

I'm in sw Washington. Weird here also. Strawberries were great and are already done. Should have been ready about now. We raise gras hay.
Beautiful stuff this year. Same thing though. Just about to finish hay and we usually can't start til the first of July. Almost no rain in May so fields
are are plenty dry. Now for the yield--down about 20 percent. So I'm cutting additional acreage starting tomorrow to make up for it. I'm happy to
have found some but not thrilled about sitting on the tractor. Oh well can't complain much. They are my animals and if I'm going to have them
they need to be fed. Hey I said that about my kids too!

Wish you had what we didn't need. Went to go to a town 80 mile away yesterday and in that distance at least 5 state or federal highways closed because of flooded roads

My sweet corn(Honey Select) was knee high about a week and a half ago. Side dressed it with Urea
right before the rains started. Rain every day since. Now it is shoulder high in the middle of
the field and waist high to shoulder high on the edges. No tassels or corn nubbins yet.

I shoot for my beans to be knee high by the fourth now.. Well except for the ones under water this year!
