John Deere b and a?

Hello, just looking into buying set of John Deere flat spoke skeleton rims for my John Deere b. Was wondering would a model A skeleton wheels fit a model B or is the spinal larger than the model b size? I haven't been around to many A's so done know?

I maybe wrong but from what I have heard the flat spoke ones where cut off and a rim for a tire was welded on. My 1935 JD_B has the flat spoke wheel but they are still the steel wheels

Agree with [b:654c4848f0]buster[/b:654c4848f0].

Take a look at the photo below of the 15 spline axle on "Old John" Nancy's 48A.

Take a look at the photo below of the 12 spline axle on "Uncle Earl" our 39B.

Hope this helps.

Count the splins on your axles & make sure the wheels your getting are the same. 38 & older B's have different splin count then later B's. A's have 3 different splin count on there axles depending on the year.

O........ Ok I see now 😋! Make since on the spinals, I'll take close look at the ones I'm looking to get . Thanks for the help friend.

they did make some flat spokes that were factory rubber..the spokes were swedged into the rim not welded

Also have to watch as some can have a center hub that unbolts. If you have those and so do the others then you can swap your hubs to fit the splines. But more of them don't have a removable hub.
