I use Google. When on email, a message appears something like "This version is no longer supported - please upgrade". I've gone through the
"suggested" things to do to correct this, but this silly message is still there.

email still functions OK, but that message is rather annoying.

Helps are welcome and thanks folks.

Hi,

Are you using a computer, phone or tablet to access the email app?
If you are using Google Chrome via tablet or computer, check the version (about Chrome) to see if the browser is up to date.

Just a thought.

I'd check through Chrome and G-Mail to make sure you have the most recent updates to both.

If yes... then I'd run a scan with your antivirus. Maybe it's a pop-up window containing malware... and they want you to click on it so they can give you the gift of a virus or other malware.

You have to use Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer 11 to check Gmail.
You must be using IE 8.
