chainsaw bars/chains and sprockets

I have to break down and replace all the wear parts on my chainsaws. Suggestions on a source that has good components and decent prices?

Depends on the make of the saws.

You usually can't beat a good dealer that handles the make. Farm stores usually have bars and chains, but most everything else has to come from a dealer.

X2

Just keep in mind their house brand chains are relatively hard. They hold an edge well, but are hard on files.

I have tried some of the after market parts but end up going back and buying original parts from dealer. For chains I have the dealer make up chains that don't have the anti kick rackers.

I'd recommend the dealer, at least the good Stihl dealers. REason is you may be able to find slighyl cheaper, someplace, but dealer knows about the latest upgrades for your saw, knows the certain sprockets they are recommending be changed to different size, knows latest safety things. Not going to save much money, go to dealer.

Baileys is a good source. Do a little research on what you want and order away. The dealer will want to sell you what he carries which may or may not be the best choice.

I'm another Bailey's customer - although they are little rich on some things not on sale plus there is shipping charges. I've also had good luck ordering Carlton and Oregon bars, chains and rim sprockets from different suppliers on E-Bay.
