Well I actually looked earlier for our Flag. The better half has it "stored" somewhere. I did find two 48 star flags. They would be from the 1950s???

Tom: I had to look it up as well. It seems the 48 star flag was used for 42 years,1917-1959. The longest time till that date. I know one of these flags is gift from a teacher of mine years ago. IT is a small flag like would be on graves. Where the other large flag came from I have zero idea.

That's not the only thing today is. It's my oldest son's birthday too. 34 today. He's the engine builder.

One flag panel is on the 50 foot Harvestore, another on the 90 footer. A few years ago, a special Father"s Day gift...yard pole, Old Glory, and the POW flag. We will never forget. Oh, yeah...the 3x5 incher inside the Knights of Columbus briefcase, cuz we didn"t have one at a recent meeting!
