The last few years have been wet and hard to get hay up, so we now have a tedder. I am wondering if a tedder option would be a good idea for a MoCo, like a combine does with the waste.

I can't remember where I saw it, There was an add that had a hitch where you could pull a tedder behind your moco.I think it required some extra hydraulics but it would save time and an extra trip in the field. Personally I like to wait a few hours or even the next day before I run the tedder on grass hay. On leafy hay it might work better.

Usually you need to get the ground dry before you spread the hay out on top of it. I do not see where tedding is that costly or time consuming to do as a separate operation.

No, just thinking if it would be better on the hay, did not think about the ground drying out, thanks.

Things are different here than were you may be from, but we mow, than Ted the next day, most of the time I can get away with tedding 1 or 2times than I rake and bale it.
