After cleaning some fish, I left the bucket where I could not forget it. The next morning the bass was not in the bucket. As I was finishing cutting some grass, I saw an eagle flying away. When I got back to the house the bass was gone. I would not have thought that an eagle would have come that close to the house. Oh well, one less fish to bury.

I would have liked to have seen the eagle swooping down after it.

Buddy of mine in NM would come home from work and discover one chicken missing each night, finally saw a hawk take a chicken out of the pen. He covered the pen with wire, never lost a chicken again.

Years ago, we had a few chickens, let them "free range". One day I was sitting on the back steps, several chickens were roaming around the yard. Suddenly a hawk swooped down, grabbed a chicken and lifted off without missing a beat, and me sitting there on the step.
