A guy had a trailer full of antique engines and a JD mower driving through town. While we were coming up on a stop light, I pointed my phone out the passenger’s window and pushed the button many times. I wasn't looking at camera, just driving. Wish I had gotten a better pic. The side views of tractor were blurred. I've never seen an old mower like this one.

That is one of the John Deere "patio" series. Even has the matching color seat still on it.

Read all about it here.

There were 4 different colors in the Patio series. I went to a tractor show in Hickory Corners, MI at the Gilmore car museum complex in about 2005 featuring John Deere and the gold "D" was there along with a guy that had all 4 of the Patios all restored.

John Deere made a Red, Blue,Yellow and Orange model to entice people to buy a lawn mower who were fond of the other brands of farm tractors.

I've always wondered how these tractors became the "Patio" series. They were originally called "Custom Colors". The only "patio" reference was for the red color which was known as Patio Red. I shake my head every time I hear this. Mike
