Do trailers have feelings?

If trailers could talk, they'd probably say: "Oh, my aching back!" Anyway, the load should keep the trailer from blowing away in the wind.

YOU heartless MONSTER!

:p

I am pretty sure it is all good... I was walking past our trailer the other day, and it was crying! I asked what was wrong, and he said "Use me! Use me! I want to haul!!! BUY A TRACTOR!"

Oh..... okay.... :)

agree with Bryce
made to haul, I think they get depressed when sitting empty.....
After all, when are most of us here happy?....with a wrench in our hand! lol

If you think about it, the trailer experiences less of a load sitting still than it does going down the road. When stationary, there is nothing but the actual weight of the load on the suspension. When you head down the road, and hit the first pot hole, bump, or whatever, the trailer jumps, and the suspension is subjected to a shock load far greater than the actual weight of the stationary load.

To those that say leaving a trailer loaded is a bad thing, I say this. The springs in your vehicle have a load on them from the day they leave the factory, the springs in many other applications also have loads on them from the day they are built. In ever case, whether the load is heavy or light, the spring will eventually wear. So, leaving it loaded might cause you to replace the springs a few years sooner, but it will never hurt anything to leave it loaded, with the springs doing exactly what they were designed to do.

Trailers LOVE hard work.

(quoted from post at 07:50:11 06/12/15) Looks close to being overloaded. Aren't those 7000# axles?

It still has a couple thousand to go...I pull it with a dually and probably have 3000# on the tongue.
Now this is close to overloaded.....

That's impressive to get that to fit that close!! That truck of yours is perfectly placed. I thought this was a tight fit.
