The projects just keep coming

I believe that I posted some pictures of my '67 Datsun roadster that I am determined to get back on the road this summer after the need of a minor repair twelve years ago.

After a bunch of different trials yesterday I put in this diagonal brace which allows the body to set down on the frame at this corner without any twist of the main body member.

I posted a week ago about what we found that was causing the snowmobile club's groomer to badly wear the tires on one side:

Today another project backed in:

A friend bought this from our town at sealed bid a few years ago.
I called him a couple weeks ago to see about helping me to take care of a problem with one of the flue pipes at our church. He said, well it has a problem, but if you want to see if you can fix it you are welcome to use it. So today I figured I had better get after it. So now it is front of the shop waiting for the PB Blaster to free up the operator of a micro switch.

I can't tell you how many times I have tried to justify an old Ford C body fire truck like that. Lots. I
still haven't been able to do it. I think maybe if I would buy a cab over grain tuck of that era it might
suffice. Probably not. I do need a backup straight truck, though...

My friend paid $3,000.00 for it. It had had major engine work ten years earlier.
