I have been trying to research what Oil Pull's sell for, mainly the model "X" 25-40. Does anyone know what any have sold for recently? Does anyone know roughly how many there are left? Any info would be great. Thank you.

Here is what Colophil stated several years ago:

"Old fashiend, I could not give an estimate on value, but i saw one in photo adds in good shape for $16,000. And i remember in better times as much as $20,000. 2,041 were built about 300 survive. producton years 1928-1930.An 25-40 X weighed in at 9,290 pounds The one i have is converted from an older model 20-35 M. I hope this helps. Philip"

I do not know what a model X would sell for, it would hing on condition. The model X 25x40 was in production from 1928-1930.
2041 were produced 296 are surviving. some were made from left over model M 20x35.

reading the link, i feel the same way. I have a couple of Molines, a deere, a ford, a ferguson and a McCormick Deering. I was approached
about a 1928 Model X. SN somewhere in the 700's. Older restoration and running. Even took it for a test drive. I know there are fewer and
fewer all the time. Just never thought of myself owning a Rumely. It will be coming home with me once the ground dry's out some.

With any rare collectible, sales prices aren't much of a guide. What's the going price for a guitar once played by George Harrison or Johnny Cash? Whatever somebody is willing to pay for it. There are so few sales of such items that sale prices don't mean much. And of course condition counts a great deal.

In the case of a Rumely, I'll be the price depends less on any market value than on the qualifications of the potential buyer. If the seller thinks you're someone who will take proper care of his baby, you might just beat out a higher bid.
