Closed the tailgate on my one ton Dodge Wed morning as I was leaving to go to town. Turned and caught my knee on my pintle hook. wish I had a dollar for every time I have done that.

BTDT many times; fortunately, I'm still able to walk around. The one that I really had to watch out for was the Farmall H with the long rear axles that stuck out way beyond the rear tires; it was crotch high and could really inflict pain!

Actually, I did find something worse than hitches.

One of THESE babies left in a spot where you don't remember it being - in the pitch black of night - when you're walking quickly to your truck to grab something your forgot.

What the casual observer won't notice is that they lay flat on the ground, allowing for some serious velocity to build before hitting it... And they're designed in such a way as to be the exact thing you don't want to land on in the dark. Trip on it from the back near the wobble wheel and there's a hard edge for every one of your limbs, and even your sub-limbs. So not just your shins, but your thighs. Not just your forearms, but your upper arms. They all get a piece of the fun. Chin? yup. Chest? absolutely.
