Sweet Potato Question

I never grew sweet potatoes before, so I thought I would try a few "Slips". Fruit Exchange sold them to me for .13 each. I don't know, is that a fair price? I'm in Michigan. I planted about a 1/4 acre of them.

That sounds pretty fair. I ordered from Scott Farms in NC, most of their varietities are 250 for 30$ or .12 each.

Sweet potatoes don't like cold weather. Plant after things warm up. Harvest before frost hits the vines.

Old method of baking sweet potatoes: Have open fire in fireplace. Let most of the wood burn up. Rake out a bed of coals and ashes. Put potatoes on and cover them with more ashes. Remove when done, split potato and apply butter. Mix butter and potato meat. Enjoy.
