JD 2320 mower

I am going to look at a clean good running 2320 this weekend everything works as it should the mower has the Chrysler slant six in it the rolls on the head are good it has a brand new cutter bar the guy is asking 3500 I need some input is this a good machine for 40 acres

They were a good machine in their day. Much better then their Versatile counterparts. If its in good shape $3,500 will almost be a steal. We had 2280s but there were lots of the 2320s around too. Some were used for haying but most were for swathing grain over thousands of acres. On 40 acres, you should be fine.

Just a follow up, you might want to go to Agtalk and post your question there. More of the full time farmers over there that has experience with these type of machines.
