I am trying to identify this antique Manzel Brothers engine from around 1919. The plate states it's Class DL and No. 1199R. It appears to either be a fantastic refurb or a salesman sample. Beautiful piece!!

Thanks for the help.

You don't suppose that's why there's a quick disconnect air hose coupler on it, do you????

It's a compressor and a salesman's sample wouldn't have paint on a beat up ID tag.

Internet search shows M.B. to have made oil pumps for steam engines and later air compressors.

Interesting where the intake is.
