See a local implement dealer is carrying "Befco" tedders and rakes. Anyone know anything about them or have an opinion on their design and quality?

When looking for a tedder, I came across a couple that were Befco. They looked pretty stout, but the newer ones were a different design than what
I was looking at. I think they are distributed out of North Carolina and I think there is a companion brand to Befco, but can't remember it.

Cant speak to a rake or tedder, but I had a Befco batwing finish mower, 12 feet wide, it was pretty stout.
Had a few minor things I didnt like, but I did buy it used from a school district that ran it hard.

Frame was very sturdy, I covered close to 20acres a week. Tightened a few bolts once or twice and gear box seal.
If they build the rakes like their batwings I wouldnt be afraid of it.

Have a older Befco rake. Works well for the older design with the wheels lower. Been a few issues with broken welds. Easy to fix. Think the prior owner did not know how to properly adjust it for raking, hence more drag than necessary, more stress. Parts, while few have been needed, were readily available and reasonable cost. If buying new, would look seriously at the newer rakes like the action rakes or batrakes. Gets the support members up out of the hay so fewer clogs.

Thought about trading but this one works well for my needs.

If "Made in the USA" means anything to you, they are made not far from me in Rocky Mount, NC.
I have a rotary tiller, probably 15 years old and it is a fine machine. No problems, very sturdy.
