Cat D 4 with loader bucket at auction. Appears to be in good shape.Has been shed kept. What would be an average good price?

Depends on location.

It might be more desirable in Trafalgar, Spain than in Trafalgar Square, London England

What model and year D4, whats the under carriage look like? That's the information needed to assign a ball park price. D4's have been made since the 30's or 40's and track/under carriage condition is everything on a crawler.

check if its really a D4 . If it is a D4 loader may have been added and not as good as 7U Traxivator which is a D4 with an additional roller.and is factory built as a loader from the factory. Mine has D4 engine and power train books but shows additional roller and tag shows 7U on tag.
