715 Corn Head Options

Hello,

I have a 715 Gas, Corn and Soybean Special. It has always been used for small grain. I would like to find a corn head for it but am not sure what number heads would fit it.

1. could someone tell me what years the715 corn and soybean special were produced?

2. could someone tell me the compatible corn head numbers wide or narrow row?

Thank you for any help you may be able to give.

Also if you have any information on any heads for sale please share.

So would those be the only ones that would work for that machine?

There was a 744 but you don't want one. Does your 715 have the throat on the combine. Or is the throat part of the grain platform?

If it's a later 715, one with the feeder house on the combine, 8xx,9xx and 10xx heads
should work. IIRC all those heads have the hex shaft drive coupler.

how can you tell if it is early or late model?

I am thinking there is a serial number break at 8,000. Older than 8000 is 700 heads and newer is 800 heads. This is in my poor old memory banks.

Location? Sure would help.....friend of mine has a 715 with 4rw head, stuck engine. Don"t know about feederhouse or if he"d sell it.
