Wife's cousin has had problems with an enlarged prostate, has been treating himself with the highly advertised magic remedy. He began to feel bad and have a range of symptoms. The doctors suspected everything from heart problems to kidney problems. He was finally diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer and lived 3 weeks. Be careful!

Had a neighbor who was making a fortune selling "medical dope". He'd fight you to the death to pound the medicinal value of it in to your head. He was 67. Died in December of liver cancer a month to the day after he was diagnosed.
I guess it didn't work.

Yup got a sister who has an herbal remedy for everything. Wouldn't drink a glass of milk under threat of death. Vegan for years. Finally had to give up the vegan thing and eat some real food or see her health deteriorate even further. When she finally does go to a Doc, it's usually another old hippie.

For every horror story like that I can find one or more where they went to the Doc. first and got cut on and had ALOT of problems from that. So you never really know who to trust.
