I looked at ginop's 800. everything is very tight for its age. seems to be decent hours, original paint and stored inside. tires are original and weatherchecked. probably top 10% for its age. just thought before you go to a different state or country, you might want to take an afternoon drive and have a look. and dealers do take lower offers sometimes.

Well I appreciate you doing that! Where exactly is it? They have three locations. If it is the one over by TC then I have a halfway decent chance of getting there at some point. The others would be off the beaten path for me. I'm not thinking it is going anywhere at that price so I'll gamble on that. I bought a combine head Tuesday and the seller tells me his neighbor has a swather in the barn he wants to sell. He is checking into it. I'll be honest with you, what I really need is a good old IH. A 4000 would be nice. A 230 or similar would be about perfect. I won't claim to be expert on fixing them, but at least I halfway know where to start and can muddle thru! Thanks again!
