Watching the tractors yesterday, 1850 oliver $1750.00 John deere 4840 - $8000.00 Minniapolis moline RT100 - $800.00
Oliver 66 - $1,750.00 John Deere 2840 - $3,000.00 Deutz 8006 - $5,200. Almost positive the John Deere 4840 was not sold, seller bought back. Which left the Deutz as the highest priced tractor of the day, unfortunate for me, as I bought the Deutz. Based on how the prices on the others was going I thought I was going to get a deal... Still pretty happy with it, engine has less than 300 hours on rebuild, runs great, clutch, steering, brakes and trans all seem very tight. Have a manual ordered, need to figure out all the levers and shift pattern, can't read the pattern on the left hand side, had a bit of fun figuring out fwd lo, hi, and reverse, appears there may be a fwd lo, med, hi?

Thanks for posting. Enjoy seeing results from around the country. Nice to know what you have might be worth.

Looked awful cheap to me too. I wonder if it even sold. There were some that sold on a farm auction near Clare a year ago. If it was one of those, there's a reason that one was so cheap. Those things were beat.

Yes it was the Yoder sale. The Oliver ran, but the exhaust was extremely "Wet"... Which is what kept me from bidding on it, other than that it looked very good, clean, not repainted, at least not in the last 10 years or so.. I did not get photos, but was surprised at the prices, I wish those low prices would have held past my purchase, but that is the way it goes, there apparently was only two of us interested in the Deutz, hoping I did ok, so far it seems very good.
