smoothest riding tractor

Just a fun question for this morning, what tractor brand do you guys and gals think had the best seat suspension? How about the worst? Or how about the most unique system to smooth out those bumps and jars while in the field? How about two categories, one for rubber tires and another for steel wheeled machines.

The new tractors with the active seats are a smooth ride. Now you have a computer controlling it so who know how long that will last but they do make a smoother ride when they work.

My '07 Branson came with an air seat like the ones in OTR trucks. Has an internal air compressor and you can pump it up to your liking. That, high back, and arm rests are nothing but AAH-LA-LA.

Rich ive got a 37 jd b on steel that rides smoother then my truck at the county. 2014 ih 7600 with a pup. you ever git moved up hear yet? Bob

the dc case gets my vote ,, they have a nice ride ,those 38s glide well over a hayfield in hi gear rakin , fyi ,,. the smaller the rear tire the more beating you will take raking , the DC steers easy too ,, easy on and off , some modern tractors mite ride better ,, but these old case gentlemen were built in the 40s and early 50s

Smooth ride? Really? One of the very first things my dad taught me when I was learning to drive a tractor was IF you are having trouble staying in the seat, you're going to fast. SLOW DOWN!! That lesson was taught to me over 55 years ago. I have since learned that it applies to ALL tractors.

I know that this might start a fight, but you asked. It's green, has the original comfort and quiet cab. Hydrostat tranny so don't have to gear up or down? Power steering? Easy to start too? Seat comfort? This was the prototype that started it all, that everything was modeled after. My favorite of all time. Oh, did I mention green power? If I didn't, here is green power to spare.

You asked and therefore you shall recieve

I have three of these, rides better by far than any 2wd ever built lol

The case quadtrac is by far the smoothest ride in the field, the road is a different matter tho. Inthe field they are the smoothest without the teeter totter effect you get with the jd and cat track tractors.

Smoothest riding tractor i have ever been on was a 45 Cat Challenger . I got to run one during a DMI field day . The Cat Rep. asked me how i like it , i told him i really liked it BUT DID THEY COME WITH DUAL's . To look on his face was a ture Kodac moment.

Those are some beasts, don't look like they would ride very well with that short wheelbase on such a big tractor.

For rubber tired two wheel drive I'd say it's my neighbor's Allis 7060. It has lots of front end weights and wider front tires. Seems to wallow and lumber around some but it's smooth riding.

I wasn't thinking of trying to stay in the seat while flying through the field as fast as possible. But I do agree, if you can't maintain control you best slow down. I was thinking more along the lines of which tractors you feel do less throwing you around during the day of normal field work.

I Agree with you Bryce. I mow my yard with a 72 inch zero turn Farmall C. Love the ride. Love the way it cuts.

I agree the 1870 and 2270 are some of the nicest handling tractors around. I have two of each and enjoy using them in the field. I'm just curious do you have a pair yourself?

Hey, man! I just saw your post. Good to hear phrom you. What's going on in your neck oph the woods? Did you get any nasty weather lately?
