Has anyone ever seen a kill switch like this on an IH magneto before? It's on a Farmall H a friend of mine has?

Standard fitting on the early Farmalls H and M. Later replaced the press-down tab on the Farmalls A and B. All replaced later by the electrical shorting switch which became the standard for all the Letter series tractors with magnetos. When battery ignition became standard about 1949 the magneto shorting switch was replace with the power switch (looked the same as the one wire magneto shorting switch but had two wires, one to power supply and one to distributor.

Those were used on tractors that did not have a starter so when you wanted to use the hand crank the sw was open on the mag. Spring loaded so a not to kill the mag. To kill the mag you pulled on the sw. I have two of them if someone would want one.

Gene, I am working on a mag now that has part of the switch, but not the part hooked to the cable. How much do you want for one? E-mail is open. Ron Mn
