Hi... Anyone have an Info On the 2013 Ford Escape Eco-Boost with the 4Cyl Engine... Pros Cons... Any Info Very much App... Thanks Larry

We have a 2014 with the larger of the 2 ecoboost engines. We have about 10,000 miles on it and love it. No problems at all. My wife calls it her zoom car because it goes really fast. Lol The only complaints I have is the milage is not great at 26mpg and it's a bit noisy inside from road noise.

SWMBO has a 2014 with the non Eco engine. She really likes it. mpg's average about 25. Last road trip we took to Oklahoma, filled almost empty tank with 100% real gas, MPG's jumped to 30.5. No problems with it.

We have a 2014 escape, 2.0 turbo. We love it. 26 MPG average at 75 mph on a cross country trip last summer. Lots of power. We got all of the bells and whistles, leather, big sunroof. 16,000 miles on it now, no problems at all. My wife said the other day that it is her favorite car she has ever had.

I can solve the road noise , first the Limited version is quitter but If you have a xlt put better tires on it.

Tires will make a big difference. Bought a Honda CRV, factory tires were awful! Every seam in the road made a ringing noise, along with the roar. Put on a set Of Michelins, made all the difference!

the 2013 was the first year for that completely new platform and had a lot of growing pains and enough recalls to earn honorary GM status. I would stay away from a 2013 myself. one of my least favorite Fords to work on in my 28 plus years in a Ford dealership .

Sounds like a dang shame to have to change what should have been good tires in the first place. Oh yes, that is right, use what ever is the cheapest to keep the cost down. My wife bought a new 2012 Ford Edge SEL never took it off the lot for a test drive. She is sick because when WE go somewhere she has to sit in passengers seat and it is so low she has to sit on a pillow so she can see over the dash. Drivers side has fully electric seat so it is very much adjustable. Passenger seat sits on the floor & can only move forward and back. Never before had we heard of anything so stupid. Another case of doing anything to keep the cost down.

I have the same brand tires on my old 1996 Explorer. I got the lite truck tires. Better handling!!!!!
