Picked up my 6th Allis 175 diesel today and detoured thru the res and filled the truck and slip tank with diesel at $2.40. 360 mile trip. Rained last night, so was a slow day.

Eldon! being as I don't have your e mail address, I am going to use this post to thank you for the two WD45 cylinders. They were just what I needed. Sorry I missed you! Ralph

Nice looking AC

I got a question, why would someone put those lower cylinders on that way. Hoses have to be longer and they don't seem as strong to avoid bending that way? Just wondering.

Gary

The cylinders should have the same strength either direction. One advantage to this direction is that precipitation is running away from the seals instead of down toward them.

I'm not sure, but Du-All, Farmhand and Great Bend all position the lift cylinders this way. Allis Chalmers (short loader) is the opposite.

Sorry I missed you Ralph....would have given you a tour. You picked one of the few days we had to be somewhere. Glad the cylinders worked out for you.

Good gravey..how high does that thing go??? Looks as high as my flag pole. It is about 18 feet tall.

I have a Deere 146 loader and it's cylinders are mounted the same way.

Hi the new one and both these look pretty descent tractors, looks like those hi lift loaders are designed, just so the not so smart ones of us can lift a bucket full right up . Forget to crowd forward to compensate for the bucket tilting back. Then dump the whole load on the hood or smash the window in the cab, or dump on the operator to with no cab when the load comes over the bucket back.
Wouldn't be the first one a guys done that to and I've had to straighten or replace parts and paint after L.O.L.
Hope you get on good with the new one.
Regards Robert

Maye if you want to remove the loader, you can leave the cylinders and their piping in place on the loader. Just disconnect the hoses.

The shorter (Allis 500 series) loader is set up that way.
