Trying to get ahead of the cheat grass this year. Pulling at 6.2 mph and knocked out 30 acres late this afternoon.

I would have to say at that rate of work per hour that tractor will pay for itself sooner than the other guys are giving you a hard time about. Repairs included. She sure looks good hooked to your machinery. By the way I also loved the horse picture you provided us with. Q. with all the work you have going on do you still have time to ride? What little I have learned of you during my few years on here is you are a modern day old style cowboy. Must have ridden a few horses over the years and with the look at that rumuda I would say you still dabble in a ride or too.

I guess its time, seeing the adjacent field is so green, barely starting to turn yet on this hillside, probably feels great to pass over some acres after that major repair, before you know it you'll be dealing with hay at all hours of the night and early morning, best time of year though.

How is your winter wheat looking? Planting spring wheat here, E SD. Dry as heck here. No-tilling into corn stalks to conserve the little moisture there is.

Looks like wheat on the right side of the windshield. We top dress ours early spring.(floater) Pretty wet here in IN. Yours must be also to be that green. Bet that outfit is quieter than the older one it replaced.

A lot of ground is tilled in the fall here. One pass in the spring and plant beans or corn. A lot of beans are no-tilled with air seeders, which is the next new tech after the coulter drill that I have. Farther west, western SD, Montana, western ND air seeders are used to plant cereal grains, and not much corn planted.

I also pull a disc at 6.5mph, but the people on this page will tell you are going to fast and not doing a good job. that's what they told me

Lots of sunflowers over around Lemmon and Dickinson. Some guys were starting to run corn for something else in their rotation.
That was almost 5 years ago I was up there.
Was surprised. Don't think anyone up there knew what no-til is. Can't recall a single field up around Tioga that wasn't tilled.
