Explanation of the weird weather

A gazillion years ago we had an Ice Age, in the seventies the militant vegetarians screamed Global Cooling, then AlGore said we were in Global Warming, then when that didn't pan out they cried its Climate Change, now its the Big Blob

geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewhizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I put my faith and trust in the Lord above instead of AlGore, I think God has control over all this instead of AlGore and the radical far left who worship at his altar...but hey to each their own.

Take care Mike

What I don't get is last weekend, maybe Mon. some big time weatherman on the nightly news was talking about the Calif. drought, said big storm coming they might get a couple inches however when that storm hits the Midwest it could be really bad. Then the local tv stations have been warning about this storm all week, especially if there was any sun yesterday before the storm got here.
I don't ever remember hearing a five day warning for an approaching storm. Local tv stations started showing that coming last night about 5, I had it on in the garage for 3 hours while I kept an eye to the south. Missed me but tore up a lot of stuff south and east of Rockford ILL., killed 2 people and completely destroyed a little town.
Illinois' new governor stepped up with a $100,000 donation of his own money to start a relief fund.

It's true, weather is cyclical over a looong time. We haven't the capabilities to measure beyond recognized human habitation/records. I read an article the other day (will try and find and post) that stated, the volcanic eruption in Iceland a while ago wiped out ALL of the measures taken by humans to reduce carbon in the atmosphere. Truth is the Earth is still evolving, yes, humankind has introduced a lot of bad stuff in the form of pollution and all, but it is spit in a rain barrel. Shirt happens and there ain't 'sweet fanny adams' we can do about it. Lots more things to whine about; gov't poor performance, taxes, my neighbors noisy dog......../

That was interesting, I don't see it harmful to find the causes, but beyond theory. We know there is climate change, beyond that, well it opens a huge can of worms. In simple terms if we knew definitively that its cause was us, we change what we are doing as best we can, what else can you do ? This and the chem trails thing, whats next ya think, we're headed for a black hole? LOL !

The reason there has been no warming in the last 18 years is because of increased volcanic activity.

Ever get the feeling someone's grasping at straws?

We don't have a trend in the last 18 years yet the previous 15 is a trend. Government meth at its best.

What I always though was we are in a period of the climate changing...and we just happen to be alive to see it happen. If we weren't it probably would happen anyway. Some man made things I do believe is contributing to some of it, mainly the loss of a chunk of the rain forest.

If the government and military keep messing around with their global weather modification programs, we are going to end up like Mars, another cold, dead, lifeless planet in the solar system. But the government and military are too stupid to realize that.

T in NE, in your last line you said "Government meth at its best" While I believe you intended to say Govt. MATH at its best, METH, may be more appropriate. LOL

Read another theory a day or two ago. Said that the oceans are presently "storing" heat and at some time in the future they will release all this supposedly "stored" heat which will melt the ice caps and flood vast areas of the world. I have said before that scientists cannot explain something in simple layman's terms, it has to be complicated and borderline Sci-fi, or it doesn't make sense to them.

So what makes them think that body is causing problems when its only been the last 40yrs that we even knew the oceans temp. I toured a place where they place bouys to monitor water temps all over the world as before then we just didnt know what temps the water was. Question when did we have therms that measured temps in 10ths of degrees did one even exist 200 yrs ago all over the world. Like where you live 200yrs ago nobody wrote any thing about weather. Reason for climate change is the Indians they never wrote anything down as far as temps rain ect.

Climate is constantly changing. What gets me is that even if someone could definitively says, "_____ is the cause of climate change.", the only answer to the problem we're given is that we have to tax the western world into poverty and give all the money to tin pot UN politicians. That is NOT an answer.

No warming in the past fifteen years? 2014 was the hottest year on record.

Yes, the growth flattened out a bit recently, but saying there's no problem would be like saying the federal debt isn't a problem just because IT has flattened out in recent years.

Meanwhile, not coincidentally, CO2 level in the atmosphere is at its highest point in several hundred millenia. And it continues to rise rapidly.

Save your breath Mark - even if suddenly everyone agreed that manmade carbon emissions were a significant cause of warming we collectively would never have the will power or discipline to do anything about it. Anything one party proposed would get blocked by the other party as they wouldn't want them to get any credit, and we'd rather have cheap fuel now than care about what our kids will have to deal with. So it's pretty much an academic issue now. One side will get to say "I told you so..." but what going to happen is going to happen either way...

Merely posting for discussion purposes, Kent. The strange weather can be traced directly to the presence of the "blob", but how it got there is open to speculation.

And by the way, its Kool-Aid, if you're keeping score.

(quoted from post at 16:13:14 04/10/15) Big "blob" of warm water in the Pacific. Personally, I attribute it to blobal warming.
A clickable moment

Nothing weird about it. The general public until a few years ago had no idea what was normal around the world. Now the media displays rotating storms and whips up hysteria when folks used to just say " a storm rolled through last night".

global warming is a theory. If you want to see actual data compared to the theory, Google up "Climate Change Reconsidered II Physical Science NIPCC. Chapter 4 pp. 356-357. And 2000 yrs. of temp on page 405.

The Inuits figured it out, the Earth has tilted on it's axis and is wobbling, they say they know this because the stars aren't where they're supposed to be.

No, 1936 is still the hottest year on record. NOAA was caught last year manipulating earlier data and had to go back and change the changes they'd made.

>No, 1936 is still the hottest year on record.

Sorry Bret, but you are mistaken. It is true that 1936 is the hottest year on record for the continental United States, but 2014 remains the hottest year on record for the planet. We are, after all, talking about "global" warming, and the US is a relatively small chunk of the world's land mass, and most of the earth is covered in water.

And you trust the people who got caught manipulating data to fit an agenda? The same agenda that exists on a world wide scale and often the same people working the data?
