AGCO parts site

Am I stupid or is the AGCO parts site hard to use? I wanted to look up the part number for a sprocket on my Hesston 1120 and I had no luck getting anywhere on it. I could pull the book up but the cover is as far as it would let me. I did somehow get to the table of contents briefly but couldn't scroll and then I found myself back at the beginning. The CNH and Deere seemed very easy to me so this ain't my fist rodeo on something like this. Thanks for the two cents.

Edit: I am using an iPad. I found an app for the parts book but it says I need to obtain login information from my dealer. Anyone know of a login for it? I only have one piece of Agco equipment, if this is how they run everything I will think twice before buying another.

For years I"ve been posting the addy for the AGCO dealer locater. Recently I needed to use it myself, and it was nothing like I remember. The site was a mess....hard to use, like you say.

I have no idea why this is this way but try clicking on the blue circles with the white arrows that
you see on the right hand side of the screen. (It probably says "Sign Out" right above them.) I
don't know which one exactly brings you to the "entire index" view but click around on them until
you see the entire book.

You have to talk to your dealer for login info. I usually just view as a guest anyway so no need to sign in although I was registered before the guest option was available. The site is not as "smooth" as JD or Case but never had any problem finding what I need. Your app may be part of the problem. I have used my wife's kindle before and not been satisfied with how it works on some sites (never tried AGCO with it, though).

Below the login and password there should be a "guest user" section. Click on "view books". That is how you access without a login and password. I am on a PC so not sure about the iPad.

But on the PC I timed myself. I opened Internet Explorer, typed in www.agcopartsbooks.com, clicked on view books, entered 1120, chose the correct book for the brand and opened the sickle and guards page and viewed the page. 33 seconds. Didn't think that was bad at all.

Do you see a guest user option on your iPad?

I have a username and password, but it doesn't mean a thing. Just go in as a guest.

Do you want to buy an 1120 so you'll have one for parts? I bought a new disc mower/conditioner yesterday and I'd make you a good deal on this one I have. Drop me an email if you're interested.

You have to have Microsoft Silverlight installed to be able to view the books.

Ditto I opened Agcoparts and was viewing 1120 in about 30 seconds.

(quoted from post at 08:34:00 04/08/15) Deere and IH are bad as well, and a lot of books not avaible.

What JD parts book can't you locate? JD had a very thick parts book that contained real old equipment such as plows.drills & horse drawn equip that I think isn't on the internet

While Deere's system isn't bad, I have one major problem with it. 2 zoom levels. Too damn small and way to big. PM Pro is WAY better, but isn't available online. Messicks has pretty good Case IH parts pages, but it can be quirky. I honestly don't find AGCO's online parts book all that bad for occasional use. I hope the dealers have something better though. That would suck to use all day.

I went to the dealer today and they couldn't get the username deal figured out. I was wanting to use their app hoping that it would be better on the IPad and the guest login is not an option for it.

go to agco parts book click on guest user you can look up any thing they have just no pricing or availibity,a couple times I had to drag the screen from the right side to get the pictures,as with all the rest someone set it up that sometimes requires going around your elbow to get to your thumb

I tried the site on the pc and logged in as a guest and it was very simple. Still suprised me there are prominent sites that are not iPad friendly yet. Thanks everyone!
