lucky day, or not?

How close to dead have you gotten today? This guy came within an inch Of
running over me today. The shipper gave me a door, but when I got there thus
guy was backing in. I walked over and told him I was given that door and that
was enough. He took off like a NASCAR driver AND turned towards me. I ran, but
because he was turning the trailer was rubbing me almost the whole length of the trailer. Had I
tripped I would have been under his trailer. I've never been so scared, then
so mad in my memory. I can't decide if I was lucky or unlucky.

I'd say darn lucky! Glad you wernt crushed or hurt. I thought this driver was gonna have an unlucky day. The pic dosent show how much the truck was tilting, I said I hope it dosent roll over. It was a western express truck.

jon, that is way too close a call. no excuse for his actions that i could think of. i hope you reported it to your dispatch. maybe the guy was looking for a free load to sell? glad you are ok.
 
A co-worker told me a story yesterday about two truckers. One was being passed by another truck in the left lane. A HD rider was flying around everyone and passed the first trucker on the right side and then moved back into the same lane at the same time as the second truck moved back in front of the first truck. MR.Biker ended up between the rear duals.
 
So happy you are hear to tell the story. Growing up logging and in the mill, and doing construction I've had a number of close calls and know the feeling.
