White American 3 pt question

Hey guys, got another question for y'all...

Got a White American 60 with a 3 pt hitch that doesn't seem to go up as high as it should. It's been like that since we got it. Not a problem with the Vicon disc mower, but just got an Aitchison drill and can only get it 3-4 inches off the ground. Can lift the 3 pt arms by hand by probably 6 inches. The hydraulic pump is strong and has plenty of oil. It has no problem lifting an implement, heavy or light, but has a very distinct upper limit.

Could a previous owner have decided to change where the arms attach to the rockshaft? My thought was to change that. Thoughts?

Thanks,
Jake

Jake, I looked in my service manual and it shows for upper limit linkage there is an adjustment. I would try to post a picture of it but picture is grainy. I sat next to you at the farm last year at the Milky way tour Vicky is my mother in law. We were in Roxbury yesterday I would of brought manual if I knew you needed it. Adjustment is on right side under three point lever. Greg

Greg, I just checked that linkage and made an adjustment and that did the trick! Thanks a lot for your help. A small finish nail and a 7/16 wrench was all it took!

Jake, my White did the same thing a few years ago. I found two places that repair tachometers, Star Speedometer (386}569-5284 and Metro Speedometer (816}478-0116. They advertise in Oliver Heritage magazine maybe they can help you. There may be some aftermarket tachs but an OEM one seems to be nonexistent. If you ever need the manual just have your mom get ahold of Vicky. Greg
