This is how it's done where corn is king! None of this back and forth we like to go in circles and lean to the right.

Nice looking rig and your doing a fine job plowing too. I always enjoyed spring plowing. The earth just smells so good when you are turning it over.

Last time i had the plow on the 1066 it was High 1 with stick ahead and getting 9-10 inches with a set of 710 5 x16's . It will run five parabolic shanks with seven and half inch tiger points set down to 13 inches up and down our humps and bumps in high 1 . The DMI blockman told me that no 1066 would pull five tiger points in our ground . Proved him wrong . The only problem we have had is holding the tires to the rims , them Fire stone radials really get ahold of the dirt and the engine will not slow down so we have spun the rims inside the tires four times before we solved that problem by welding stringers across the bead flats , Running high 1 breaks the farrow up nice and gets all the green on the bottom . When on a hill side it will throw the dirt up the hill like it is suppose to .

Morning Bill!

I know what you mean about following the cattle. Sure makes 'er snort, don't it? Looks like you've really have a handle on it.

I got pulled up short yesterday. Moved three miles north and it's just too darned wet yet. Guess I'll go disc some alfalfa.

Nice looking black stripe, I need to do just what you are doing, however we still have too much frost and if I even thought of going into the field I would plant the plow and the tractor.

Here in central IL and north central IA, you would have to take bottom off trying to get the muck off the moldboards.

Yesterday a neighbor got stuck putting on anhydrous. The tractor sank about a foot and sat there spinning on the frost. I'm not in THAT big of a hurry.
