That was on another forum a while back. Some yelled about how they should have called animal control or the carp cops (Game Warden). Seems that the area this took place in that there is no animal control (imagine that in a rural area) and that a carp cop could be 2 to 6 hours before being on site (guess poaching isn't a problem. :lol: :lol: ). Both area sheriff deputies and stat troopers method of dealing with it would have been to shoot the bear to keep it from suffering.

I am thinking that is the third time the video has been posted here this year so far. Great video though and I think it is great you share it for those who missed it before. But, I repeat, I would have shot the bear. Damage to crop AND he did not get that thing on his head cause he was in the woods being a good bear. He got it there creeping around the barns at night looking for what he found....trouble. He will be back and next time he will be bigger, older, and meaner.

That's why it never hurts to put it up again. People come and go and new ones arrive daily. I'll expand my thought also to say that, when this bear returns and mauls someone in the dark, the local game gestapo will come out and shoot...not only the bear in question, but every bear in ten miles. I just don't believe we are being a friend to wildlife when we befriend wildlife. Better for them if they hate and fear us.
