Can I take a minute to give God praise? OT

I know this is not the place for this but I have to tell someone/everyone. We got invited to our music directors from church home Friday night to play games and eat snacks. First time for us to be there. About 10 PM got a call from my 25 year old daughter. She said dad where are you. Well I was joking with her and said were having a sleep over at Marks and Lisa's house, She said dad I need you. My first thought was a car problem. She said Kenly's hurt......she’s been burned. I almost fell to the floor. This is our sweat little 5 year old granddaughter that lives with us. She was over at her dads and they have a small burn pit for campfires and such. Kenely was wearing a little Disney princess dress and was chasing her little dog and fell head first into the coals. Her father grabbed her in a split second and got all the embers off her clothes and hair. We jumped up and started grabbing our stuff and Mark said hold on, stop. We need to pray. Him and his wife’s daughter suffered a bad burn as a child so he knew the panic we were feeling. And he said the most beautiful yet simple prayer. It just calmed us so much. Long story short the ER said she had 2nd degree burns on her left hand and wrist. After treatment she was allowed to come home. I have attached two pics. Just after the burn and about 14 hours later. She is up playing like nothing ever happened. Don’t tell me we don’t serve a great God that loves and cares about us. If I don’t give him praise for this the rocks are going to cry out. I know this is far from tractor related but it is family related. And I am betting everyone on here has someone they love and care about. Thanks for letting me ramble.

When I hear stories about burns my Boy Scout training goes into gear. I work in commercial kitchens and have seen stuff you just wouldn't beleve. FIRST AND FAST FAST FAST....is cool the burn. Even sticking your tounge on it will help. Water, ice , anything. Do NOT put greasy or oily creams on it. Alou plant is good a little cocoa butter helps. The thing that really works is Silvadine. spelling It is a topical ointment that has one or two percent silver in it. I was severly burned on my leg when I was a kid and it follows you all of your life. God does small and large blessings and I know!

I'm glad the little girl is OK.
Better to get her another guardian angel,...the current one is not up to par.;)

There is never a wrong time or place to praise God! His miracles are all around us, sometimes He likes to show us something special!

While we're on the God subject, the new movie "Do You Believe?" is now showing. Wonderful!!! One of the best I've seen in a while! It really is possible to have terrific acting, action packed, edge of the seat entertainment without a single cuss word!

I suppose there are people that could somehow be upset at he idea of thanking the Good Lord for things like this, but I'm certainly not one of them. God bless her and you all.

Bret4207, could not have said it better myself.

I also got burned this past spring at work. Jeffcat is absolutely correct. My doctor was worried about infection mostly. I got burned with hot road tar at roughly 380 degrees. Used the same procedure he described and then used Muprocin. Not sure if that is spelled correctly.

Glad to hear she is doing ok now.

HE IS AN ON TIME GOD even when things don't go the way we think they should,HE is always in charge,i pray the little one mends quickly

Sometimes we need to slow down and give thanks....and not just when new have a crisis but during our regular days. Its is easy to forget when all is well but I often find myself neglecting to remember the real important things.
