Pneumatic Lift All Capacity

I have a Farmall Model A with a exhaust powered Lift All. And was wondering the lift capacity off it. I want to use a disc behind it and want to know if I need to make a hydraulic lift or if the old one will work. Thanks in advance. :)

I have been told by the "Old Timers" that they would just barely lift a mounted cultivator,,my vote is it will not lift the disc. If you do the Math on 'possible' pressure X cylinder size it don't mount to much,,it would be like trying to Fart and can't...

What kind of a disc, wide, type and ect. That system never had a disc for it. So you must be making something. I could see it raising a small wheel type by making the lever on the axle have enough mechanical advantage to work. Remember the A just doesent have enough traction to pull a very large and heavy type. Ive been around those systems since 48 repair ect. The system picks up thE 187 two way plow a two row cult on a B the cult on the A. The system worked on rear mounted planters, sickle mowers, middle busters ect. I have been tempted to build a 5ft wheel disc and use the system for lifting just another project.

Gene,
Do you know where I could get parts for a lift-all on an A? The cast piece on the top of the cylinder that the rod goes through is badly cracked on mine. The tractor has been in the barn for many years, but I have been thinking of restoring it. This post made me think about that broken casting. Thanks,
Josh

Gene,
My zip code is 19352. I will look at the tractor tonite and see if there are any other parts that look bad. When I was at home and younger I used the tractor cultivating. It got used less and less, and one day wouldn't start and was rolled out of the shed. It sat outside for about a year, and I think water got in the cylinder and cracked the top casting. Since then I got the tractor running and moved it to my farm and have it inside again.

My father and I are going to build a Three point for it, and we aren't certain on what disc we are gonna use. I was just wondering if anyone knew the lift capacity, so we could guesstimate if we would have to make a hydraulic system too.
