What is a good cleaner for aluminium radiators ?

I get it from hvac suppliers. Comes in gallon jugs not too expensive. Starts foaming after you apply it and simply rinse it off. Nathan

For the inside or outside, If its the outside you can get a bottle of wire wheel cleaner from the autoparts store, its a acid that will clean aluminium pretty good. it will foam up and eat the crud right off. It might take a couple sprayings but it works.

I guess I should have said cooling system flush m I know permatex makes some that will clean but it will eat aluminum will even eat old radiators that are getting thin I wouldn't dare use it for aluminium.

A strong solution Cascade dish washing detergent(about as much as you can dissolve in a quart of water), pour in rad. run til up to temp. back flush rinse with clean water. Makes an excellent flush. If extremely dirty may have to do twice.
By the way mix with very warm water so it dissolves
edit: This does not work as well if the rad. is bad scaled. Clean with this and then run a commercial flush Prestone, etc.if necessary.
