Tire machine question

On older ones can the air cylinder that brakes tire down, be repaired if it does not work??? This is a coats older one.

Yes, take it apart and see what is wrong. Many parts are available on line. or replacable from stock materials. Jim

Yes, all that's in there is a piston with a big o ring . I talked to a guy @ Coats , and he said the cyl is about 1/2 full of oil , as a cushion , it transfers from bottom to top .
