I'm inclined toward a professionally built kit. There was lots of that kind of stuff being done back in the day, and it doesn't look as cobbled up as a homemade one might be.

I would say home made.

Webuilt one a little more than 20 years ago.
It consists of Super WD9 with the ring gear carrier reversed, a 305 chevy for power, a cast iron 1950T oliver grill and hood,Plus a custom built loader made from Farm hand loader parts.
It has been a good unit, with front drive, the more you grab, the better the traction

ACG It looks like the seat is on the other side facing back, hydraulic hoses from other side to pistons attached to steering arms. Sort of like a Lull forklift set-up. Looks like a shop built unit, some decent engineering went into that.

Do not quote me on this but I am PRETTY sure, there was a guy down around Sikeston Mo late 50 that built a few of those thing to use around auctions. I know I have seen more than that one and ever one I remember seeing was around Sikeston.

Dunno about the red one, but here"s my faded orange....reversed WD with Paulson loader, full hyd bucket. Built that in the mid 70s.

I asked because I really don't know. I have not asked the owners anything about it. All I do know is that it is owned by a small Machine Shop in a town near me....

WOW! that's a chunk of Iron!

I would say homemade but please understand that back in the 50" people began making equipment to fulfill needs like heavy duty forklifts that weren't available.
