Farm videos on Yout tube

In the winter months I have a little more time to cruse the internet. On Youtube I found a framer in of all places Frenchtown New Jersey baling hay, Mulch Hay! What the heck is Mulch hay? Well it hay baled to sell to the mushroom farms. I found this rather interesting as it's something I knew nothing about. He has in interesting mix of equipment old and new most of witch is JD. New equipment that works like a dream and new stuff that is a POS and equipment that is poorly designed that causes lots of problems. This guy seams to be a little nutty but I guess you would have to be to make and post video as often as he does. But it is interesting to see how others farm in different areas of this country. He bales a lot of hay, I video he said he sell about 7 to 8000 ton of big square bales a year to the mushroom farms alone and to me that's a lot of hay. He even bales mulch hay in January of all things. Really different to see that done that's for sure.

Anyway Has anyone watch the videos on Youtube from "onelonleyfarmer"? And what do you think of them? And I wonder how close he is to Larry there in NJ? I don't know the guy or have anything to do with him but I like the videos and it makes me thing of some of the things I did over the years good and bad, And he seams to enjoy what he's doing and working with his family. I just like seeing thing that are done elseware in the country. Bandit

I've been watching his videos for a couple of years. Some are interesting, a lot I fast forward thru. He cries a lot about crappy equipment, but I think he is really hard on equipment...the typical rammer jammer get it done kind of guy, then blame the manufacturer when it breaks. I like his political views.

Ive been watching his videos since his early days on youtube. I think he pushes his equipment to the limits or past but its a good test for others to see what they can handle.

Lately he has been doing live shows on Saturday mornings which is fun because you can talk to him and he replies "in person".

Kind of depressed not getting new videos from him right now because he is gone away on holidays for a few weeks.

I will agree with you, he seams to be hard on stuff but aren't we all. Lets face it who hasn't pushed a baler hard trying to beat a rain? I don't know if he's hard on tractors or not but they do run them and that's why he bought them for. He just has to have equipment that has to run everyday to bale hay.

I really like the CIH and New Holland sp hay disc cutters and all the problems he had with the new one. Same machine only real difference was the hydrolic pumps and valve bodies. Being its all hydrolic driven and if the pump is weak and causes the machine to slow down I could see how a guy could get real mad about it.

I still enjoy watching them but I can tell you I would not like to try to keep up with him, Maybe 20 years ago but not now. He has many irons in the fire that's for sure. Bandit

I was kinda hoping that the Squach would do it while he was gone. His son Tim (the Squach) and my youngest son could pass for brothers, That's almost scary! I know they have the same temper!

But I still get a kick watching them. I never seen a chicken put to sleep like he did, he must a chicken whisper! Bandit

Idont know him,Frenchtowm is a ways from us,but Im pretty sure he bales the hay at lanna lobell horse farm, which is not far from us,,,the picture of that tractor burning up,looks like the one that burned at the horse farm a few years ago

When that is most likely him. If you see a truck with Pandy Farms that's him for sure. I really did not know how big the mushroom industry is in your neck of the woods. Its just another part of farming I know nothing about, But its fun to learn about new things. I sure would hate to be around when he sprayed that liquid fish stuff on his beans to detur the deer from eating them. PEEEEEEE-UUUU. Its funny when I think of NJ I would have never thought of farms just cities. I know how bad it is to move equipment around hear (SW Ohio) and I wouldn't even want to try to move it ware he's at, What a night mare! Great lookin country you have over there and I may have to take a look around someday. Bandit

I have watched some of his videos. He seems to find some pretty tough ways of going about things. A lot of the time it seems like he is doing things a month or two later than he should have been.
