Saw an add for this product and wonder who has used it..?
Supposed to be Re-usable, Non-Toxic, Non-Corrosive etc..
Really cleaned the scaly oil pump, etc. in the add..to clean metal right but left the original paint on...
Thanks..
Ron.

We use it extensively at work to remove from rust from large diesel engine parts. Works well and does not damage the base material.

I keep a plastic tray with sealable lid on the work bench. Use it for tools, carb parts etc. Does not harm brass or aluminum. It works slow but does a good job and does not attack the base metal.

A little expensive but it works well for removing rust but it doesn't penetrate to loosen parts. Works slowly at lower temps, best at 65 or above. It works by chelation to scavenge iron from the rust. I wire brush as much loose rust as I can before soaking in it. It's a chemical reaction so why use it up on the rust that's easy to get off. Got a gallon on sale at Auto Zone, glad I did. Great if you're not in a hurry.

I used this stuff to clean my gas tank out of my case tractor. I dumped a bottle in and each day I would shake it and switch it to the other side until all sides had soaked for 24 hours. I also had a small chain inside. I was very impressed no harmful fumes or eaten paint on the outside. After i was done poured it back in the bottle for use on a later day.

As mentioned, it does work. One caution -- I believe the instructions on the bottle caution that whatever you're treating should be completely submerged. I let the level get a bit low in a pan full of parts once, and one part became uncovered. I ended up with a dark, somewhat etched line at the air-fluid interface.
