Roller coaster yard sale

Lee Little was telling me last summer about a yard sale called The Roller Coaster. It runs around Dale Hollow Lake from Glasgow Kentucky to Livingston Tennessee,up to Albany Kentucky and back to Glasgow.
Any of you ever been on it?
I've been thinking about just doing Michigan and Ohio on the 127 Sale this year,then coming down the first weekend in October for the Roller Coaster. Maybe head over to Renfro Valley for the Barn Dance on Saturday night.

Randy , one of the main reasons I like the Roller Coaster is it is still mainly local people. There are some flea market types creeping into it but nothing like the 127. It is mostly locals. There are even a few tractors and equipment offerings. If you dont make to Tn let me know and the wife and I will try to meet you guys somewhere for a meal. One bad thing about this years Roller Coaster was while I was in Glasgow I found out Ben and Elmers had closed.

Dang,I hadn't heard about Ben and Elmer's. I knew they had closed the Horse Cave store,we were by there a few years ago. I had stopped in at the one in Glasgow once and got a part for the haybine.
If we go down,we'll get a cabin at Sunset Marina in Byrdstown. I figured we could meet you guys at the Farmhouse that Friday maybe. I thought then we'd head over to Renfro Valley later in the day Saturday and stay there Saturday night.
Maybe by October it won't be so stinking hot and humid anyway.

There is also a foothills festival in Albany sometime in Oct. wife thinks it the third weekend. FIL is preacher at Clearfork there. We live over in Scottsville. As for B and E closing, boss came in on a Thursday and told employees they would be closed on Monday. Hate to see them go. Hdr has bought out a lot of the territories as of lately.

While Ben And Elmers has closed both of their stores , the one in Horse Cave and Glasgow ,there is another tractor place in Horse Cave that I saw the other day driving by !! Don't know anything about it other than that its there !! If you were in Horse Cave then you was within 10 miles of my house !!

There is also another well know yard sale that starts in western Ky. and goes to eastern Ky. and is 400 miles long . It is the 400 mile yard sale in ealy June , usually the first weekend . It follows US Hwy 68 from western Ky.( Paducah ) east to ( Maysville )for 400 miles ang goes through Bowling Green, Smiths Grove , Glasgow , Edmonton ,Greensburg and Campbellsville with a lot of smaller communities in between . In early May , usually the first weekend, there is a city wide yard sale in Munfordville and on the second weekend in September is also the 31W yard sale that runs from like Louisville to Tennenesse and beyond . The name of it is 31W Treasure Hunt . All are local to me . All links listed below are describing last years sales . Ya,we were down there two years ago last fall on a color tour and went through Albany when the Foothills Festival was going on.

I'll keep those in mind. We try to hit at least part of the 127 sale every year. We went all the way down to Gadsden Al last year and came back north. It'll never get old or be boring,but we're always looking for other long yard sale trips or huge flea markets.
There's one here in Michigan along US12 that we should hit one of these years,but it's the weekend after the 127 and were usually burned out by then.
