Anyone Need A Farmall H Engine?

Buddy of mine told me to ask on here if anyone would be interested in one? Complete, everything there, carb, dist, EVERYTHING, $400. Running and everything. He bought it and robbed everything but the engine off of it, and is planning on yanking it out and crushing the tractor... Heard it run this morning, sounded pretty good to me!

Anyway, shoot me an e-mail, and I will pass you along to him! Thanks very much!

P.S. I was able to get my Farmall H running and took it for it's first drive today. Runs O K, still have some little carb bugs to work out, but I think that it is almost done! The only weird thing that is going on, is that when you open it up full throttle, it will slowly work it's way their, or it won't go there at all, BUT, if you tap the tube that has the throttle control housing in it, it works correctly?!?! Something must be sticking, just not sure what?

Got my nice tires on it too, feels GREAT to actually have it mobile again! :) Bryce

Take the cover off and look inside.Could be all 'gunked' up. Also, look between the governor houseing and engine block.Could be alot of old hard dry grease that is restricting movement. My SH was that way when I bought it. The throttle wound'nt work at all!

Pull that tube apart and make sure someone did not bend the inner shaft when they pulled the carb off at one time, I know it sounds weird but I saw one a few months ago that was doing as you described and thats what we found.

We had a W6 that acted up like your H. It had sat a few years. We just kept tapping the tube as needed. pretty soon it cleared up. No problem since.

If he lets you grab the frame rails, swipe them. They work as nice as stands for splitting tractors. :)

Just run a bolt through slots to implement bolt holes on the tractor, the wide end as feet (can even bolt extra pads on end if needed)

Hi Bryce, been looking for one for over 5 years here in the UK. Just tire a lable on it with my address and I will meet the boat when it gets to this end. MJ

(quoted from post at 15:11:28 02/22/15) I would just like to have an H all complete and running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would a 1940 with good tin and rear rubber work? I have one that should go.
