A local auction co has a 324 2 row picker with as sheller bed on it. I do not know what sheller number. I have not had a chance to look at it. I presume it has rasp bars in it. How do I access them?
How much trouble is it to get parts for this machine. How much trouble is it to change rasp bars? Any problems to look out for. Any advice would be appreciated!

I have the same unit. I would love to find another one - for the parts. Unless you can find a dealer that stockpiled the parts, it is my experience that parts are no longer available.

the price on these two row picker/shellers are going thru the roof around here

I don't think they had rasps in them did they? I had a 329? Super Sheller and a sheller for a Uni System. They just had square blocks welded to a rotor if memory serves me right.

Lots of those around here and I've never heard of anyone doing any repairs inside the sheller. Dad had one just like that first, then a new 325 with the 12 roll husker and a super sheller.

I have a 324 gathering unit with a 326husking bed. It is in excellent condition. Field ready. I used it last Feb. Including brand new tires a year ago. It's for sale.
I also have the old tires and tubes tnat hold air fine.

Keep my e mail have one that we used to use to shell small plots that we could not get into with the combines. Been inside and for as I know in good shape. Don,t know what part of Ky you are in but I am in North Tenn. Might sell this unit, I am thinking it is one of the last ones made. Something about some having a auger to carry the corn over and some have a chain.

I have a 324, one thing you may want to look at is the welds on the main frame where the cable support goes to the back and the welds bellow the main (first) gear box from the PTO shaft) If this unit had a sheller it probably ok. Some break down their if they have a cob elevator. nice pickers I enjoy running mine. Their is a guy up in wisconsin that has lots of parts he sells on eBay think it lists Ralph715 of something like that.

A lot of parts are still available for the gathering unit and the husker unit, either from AGCO or several aftermarket makers, but you're right, the sheller unit doesn't have much support anymore.
