I broke a little 10 tooth keyed sprocket for a 40 roller chain and a 3/4 inch shaft in that Sudenga power corn rake. I thought I was in huge trouble with that one. I did a search and came up with a place called Rollerchain4less. I ordered it about 4:45 yesterday and it came UPS this morning. Couldn't believe it.

That's fast. I ordered a part for my SUV on a Sunday night and it was delivered on Weds. morning. I thought that was pretty good coming from WI to Ohio.

I've never figured out why I could get some gauges from china for a buddies massey in a weeks time..Yet some places state or two away require 2 weeks. Couple years ago I order two standard TOTO toilets for my home on line.. had them in a week. Just went in to the "big" cities store and got a TOTO for a 10" roughin in basement.. 6 weeks till.. go figure..and I know its not a gang shipping reason there was a sign that said we place orders daily..6 weeks is a long time to hold the #2 though.. I'm picky about the pencils I use for woodworking.
Ticonderoga #3.
Woke up early one morning, did some Amazon shopping. Ordered a few things, along with couple boxes of pencils(can't ever find them locally) at about 4:00AM.
UPS truck showed up at 10:30 that morning with my pencils.
Couldn't believe it.

Coupla weeks ago, I ordered a set of tires on Ebay from a tire warehouse in Phoenix, AZ.

I ordered them on a Friday evening and UPS delivered them Monday morning, two days before the predicted delivery.

I have had unbelievable shipping time with Amazon and Rock Auto.
I work on a lot of chainsaws and it is strange that a guy in Greece can ship me an item in six days and sellers in US with the same item can sometimes take as long as eight days?
It depends on where their warehouse is located in relation to you but I feel that long shipping time are a fault of the seller not acting.
You can pay immediately and they waite until they have a large order to ship.

Does dealer in-stock count? Called about a part that they just unpacked for stock and the parts guy ran it out to the dealer delivery truck. 25 minutes tops.

I know what you mean. I ordered a pretty fair whack of parts last Wednesday from David Brown Parts LTD in England. A US Postal truck drove in here with a big box from them Saturday. I had figured at least a week to ten days on that one.
Last time I asked Deeremart to drop ship a part to me,the counter guy said he didn't know if it would be here next day or not. I asked him why not. He said "Because you're north of M57". Like that makes a bit of difference,it all comes out of Grand Rapids and they don't stop at 57 and camp out until the next day. It was just attitude.

I ordered a u-bolt for the front axle of the 2-70 from Wengers a couple of months ago, and it came the next morning. I was up at the drugstore a few hours before the route guy UPS would have been to the farm, and he handed it to me so he didn't have to stop later. Total delivery time was about 16 hours....

I bought some stuff from Shoup at the Louisville show last week.Got 10% off and free shipping.Got a call yesterday afternoon from the salesman and was told I'm gonna ship it today.Came home from movin round bales this afternoon and the box was on the front porch.

You can't beat service like that.

I ordered the 840 tags from Allflex on the 12th of January and have not seen them yet, said 2 to 3 weeks, they took the money out of my account though. Have to call them soon!

When they start delivering by drone, some of those heavy parts might get dropped through the roof so be sure to duck! Might want to start wearing a hard hat permanently.

A lot of things maybe falling apart in the country. But, our delivery system has got to be the best in the world.

I buy a number of the same (common) part at the local farm
store, but they only stock one at a time. So the last time I
bought the one off the shelf, I asked them to order me five.
That was on January 16th.
They came in today, along with the one they normally stock.
I've ordered four online in the mean time and got them all in
less than a week. Same manufacturer, same part number.
I like to shop locally but they're not making it easy.
