Pedal tractor info

I was given a nice pedal tractor and it looks to be in exceptionally good condition. Any one know what years these were made and who made them? Are there many out there? It's made in USA and is cast metal of some sort and steel. Decals and tires are excellent. Low hours.

I've got the same model but yours is very nice. Made
in the early 60s by eska or ertl. Haven't checked
prices on toys lately but probably worth 500 or
more.

I have one exactly like yours. Ertl made them. There will be a number on it. Probably a D 63 or D 65. I also have the original trailer that came with it. Been in the family since the 70’s and our Grand boy drives the wheels off it!

It was made by Ertl somewhere around 1963 and before
1965. The 20's have two model numbers located
between the pedals and rear axle,D-63 or D-65, D =
Deere and 63,65 is the year that model was first
cast. Because your tractor has the star rims that
tells me you have an early D-63, later D-63 came
with smooth rims.

They were very expensive when they were new, best I remember... My first thought was "My, what kind of damage to moms Mercedes that could do!" LOL

Nice original ! Best keep it that way. I don't keep up with prices but I bet that is worth ALOT !

I used to have one of those. My dad bought it basically in a heap at a JD dealer. It was missing one front tire and needed some welding on the pedal mechanism. I remember he bought it for $7.00 and the new tire was $4.00. I wore it out lol. That was over 40 years ago.

Checked Ebay. There's one in pristine condition (or its been restored) with a pull cart for $895. One in similar condition for $300.00.

Deano, Mine was a different color, but I gave a new 8-N ford to the neighbor's 4 kids. They have put a lot of miles on it. makes me smile as that is what they were made for, riding!
Hope your grandchildren are able to wear it out.
