manure spreader apron chain

I need a new apron chain and was looking for recommendations on
who to go through. I looked at shoup, fc mason, albus conveyors,
farm chains and graetz mfg. Graetz is the cheapest by several
hundred, but I do not know anything about them. It is for a new
holland 676. Any thoughts

When buying replacement parts, I always recall an incident that occurred to me many years ago. We used to buy plow points at TSC--just under half price of dealer points. Mentioned this to an older farmer whom I thought I could enlighten. His response---"So you enjoy changing points?" Not really, I said; he just smiled. Took a while, but I did catch on. Don't buy the cheapest; they are so for a reason.

I've never ordered apron chain from Shoup's, but have always been happy with their quality and service on other stuff. I get aprons (and roller chain) from Albus Conveyors...always good service. Of course, they are only a few miles away, so I don't have to pay freight from them.

Shoups 1033
Albus conveyor 1068
Farm chains 1073
Fc mason 1455
New holland 1250
Graetz mfg 788
These are the prices for t bar without shipping and they all require some sort of shipping

I used a company called Red Boar. I bought pintle chain for my spreader. I thought the price was very good. Only thing I didn't care for was that my bars were welded to the chain link rather than being riveted on. No problem though. if it ever breaks the bars are long enough to reuse

Went with Shoup when put new apron in the super 676 NH spreader, put in t-rod, the t-rod has shorter links than the t-bar and seems to fit the sprockets better!

Check with Fry's in Pa. They sent one to me last year and it was about half of the other places I called and was there two days after I called. Their # is 570-546-3968......

I had my dealer order a chain for my H&S. If I wanted it right away it would have been the cost of the chain plus shipping, (it's a small 125 bu. spreader). I was able to wait until he got a shipment from the factory and saved the shipping. Total cost with them doing the install and replacing a shaft, gear and a bearing was about $1400. I recall he said shipping for the chain was around $500-600 alone.
